Nothing like my favorite trail on MLK day...

...favorite trail being the Ray Miller portion of the backbone. I managed to get a run in this morning before the rain hit. Also, I think to honor MLK, I may shave the red beard. I have definitely enjoyed not shaving for the past 4-5 weeks, but I think the time for such hairiness has passed.

  2. my comment on the beard: EEEWWWWW! I don't think many girls like to kiss that.

Nate's comment: When i first saw the sign I thought it read "Brokeback Trail".

  3. Re Erika: Too late.

Re Besty: In double-blind scientific studies I have determined that beards / kissing have no correlation in my case.

Re Nate: How apropos considering Heath Ledger was found dead today.

Re Double-blind: I just looked you up on Wikipedia, apparently I used you incorrectly. There is no way that "neither the individuals nor the researchers know who belongs to the control group and the experimental group." You teach me so much. I love you.

  4. I am amazed that you had the self control to go five weeks without shaving ... kinda similar to a neighbor of mine who is in the middle of voice box cancer treatments (chemo and radiation) so that he would not lose weight the doctors installed a feeding tube ... he has not swallowed anything other than water and coffee in 4 weeks. He says its weird cause he is always full yet never gets to eat.

  5. I do not think Dr. King would approve of that beard. To wit: "I have a dream that one day we will eradicate all facial hair and we shall be free at last! FREE AT LAST!"

Two thumbs up on the Ray Miller trail. I haven't run it since our death trot last summer.
