Immune system you are on notice. Come on, is mending abroken bone and fighting off the flu too much to ask? Frankly, you are doing neither very well. I am taking over:
1. 1000 mg Multi-vitamin
2. 1000 mg Echinacea
3. 1000 ml Ginger-ale
4. 100 ml nyquil (drink directly from bottle)
5. 1000 mg ibubrofen (whenever the bone fragments grinding against each other gets to me)
6. 300 mg sleeping aid (in case nyquil fails)
I prescripe reading by the pool in the afternoon followed by napping.
I would suggest that you take acetaminophen instead of the ibuprofen. I've had three doctors (my oral surgeon and 2 orthopedic surgeons) tell me that taking ibuprofen while waiting for bones to heal actually slows down the process. So switch to 1000mg of tylenol instead.
ReplyDeleteYour sister speaks truth and righteousness.
ReplyDeleteCareful too with all the 'profens on your kidney (my rule is for how ever many 100mgs, that's at least home many hours you space 'em), and if you go on the acetaminophen make sure you switch to non-alcoholic nyquil as the combo of tylenol and booze always makes me and your liver nervous.
That'll be $50 in M.D. consultation fees.
I must be on booze right now because I typed 'home' instead of how.
ReplyDeleteexcellent. Monique when you pass your boards, I will send you some money.
ReplyDeletesounds like a lot of work when im sure you could get the same if not better results if you just rolled up a few leaves of 'tropical ease.'
