I think the marginal increase to my happiness from each animal would be:

hound dog: 37%
orangutan: 52%
orangutan (w/ life preserver): an additional 7%
african elephant: 83%

Of course happiness scales geometrically with all these different animal interactions (add in some nth dimensional matrices), so take the natural log of both axes, run some greeks, and I am approximately 16,000% happier with a margin of error of Texas.

Also, I just ate an entire box of cereal for dinner.
